Why waiting for consensus is the fastest way to lose the future.

We often hear: “Let’s wait until everyone agrees. Let’s wait until the system changes. Let’s wait until the market is ready.”
But waiting is how moments slip away. The planet doesn’t wait for consensus. The ice sheets don’t negotiate. Wildfires don’t ask for permission.
History shows that breakthroughs never began with majorities. Abolition, suffrage, civil rights — progress was always led by outliers. The courageous few who acted before the tide turned.
If we wait until it’s safe, until it’s popular, until it’s easy — it will already be too late.
The time to act is not after consensus. It is before it.
And when enough of us step forward, consensus follows.
